‘What’ and ‘How’ of Reconciliation and Data Analysis

All companies big and small rely on some form of data analysis and reconciliations.

This is the most ‘in demand’ service and may include different types of activities (‘WHAT’) which can also be performed through various levels of services (‘HOW’).

Different type of activities – WHAT:

  • analysis and deep-dive into available information
  • data validations and integrity checking over existing data sets based on pre-defined criteria or ‘free style’ analytical reviews
  • reconciliations of data sources
  • monitoring of data and alerting over threshold/ criteria breaches
  • external data benchmarking

These types of activities may be performed in variety of ways – HOW:

  • one-off tasks and engagements – no strings attached, we’ll work on a specific case based on the instructions provided and data available.
  • direct execution of data processing procedures on a regular basis – if you like what we are doing and would like to perform standard routine analysis on a recurring basis through co-sourcing. We’ll be providing value-adding services to your organisations through specialists expertise and most effective use of resources, including SMEs in the central teams and support from our dedicated analysts.
  • design and development of tactical solutions – during the course of our preliminary analysis and working with you, it can make more sense to design and develop some tactical software solutions for processing data and reporting. These can be done as part of the service on our infrastructure or your own systems and platforms.
  • independent reviews and verification – more broadly defined internal audit assignments with wider coverage and additional assurances over quality of information.
  • advisory observations and recommendations – most value adding services where you can rely on our expertise of data auditing and assurance. This may include consulting reviews on process and control improvements, pre-audit advisory support.
